Drakensang Mountains

Do the Drakensang Mountains always run with lots of lag? I have a very high spec. computer and the rest of the game was very smooth, but the snow mountains are very laggy. GPU is 285gtx OC, and CPU is Q9650 at 4.0Ghz.
