Technical Problem with Install

I just purchased this game and am unable to get it installed. The game install runs, and the DirectX installation goes through without a problem, but the game install itself gets to "0 seconds remaining" and just hangs. I'm running a Dell XPS M1530 with a 2 GHz duo processor and 3 gigs of RAM, Windows Vista 32-bit. Can anyone help with this?

I have a few questions:

What happens, if you end the installation process when it hangs at "0 seconds remaining" with the Task Manager?
Is the installation folder still present in this case and if so, can you start the game with the memento.exe?

Which version of the Dell XPS M1530 do you have?
A version with a NVidia GeForce M8400 or a version with a NVidia GeForce M8600 graphics chip?

What else is dispayed when the installer hangs with "0 seconds remaining"?
Can you read what the installer is trying to do (copying a certain file, starting the game, trying to display the readme, start a trailer, f.e.)?

Thanks for your response... I'd actually forgotten that I posted on this forum. I was able to resolve the problem by manually installing the DirectX file. For some reason the installation that comes with the game wasn't working for me.
